Mayfair is a truly amazing company. It is a family run business owned by John and now joined by his son Pete. They are the most knowledgeable, considerate, understanding reliable and friendly people I have ever dealt with. John has designed and fitted 2 kitchens for us in 2 different houses over the years- the last one being 15 years ago. The reason I am writing a review now is to thank John and Pete and to let other potential customers know what fantastic after sales service this company offer. Their guarantee is for 5 years but after all this time they are still dealing with any problems I have. These are related to electrical goods which after 15 years is only to be expected. They recently supplied and fitted a new combi microwave and warming drawer. Mayfair has also sorted out a repair to dishwasher door which was damaged by another trades person. I know that any problems I have will be dealt with quickly and efficiently. They have excellent fitters- Ed and Steve. When I look at the fantastic range of kitchens on display at Mayfair I would love to have a new kitchen. Unfortunately the quality of workmanship and fittings make mine still look new so I cannot justify it yet. When I can it will obviously be Mayfair again. Thank you John, Pete Ed and Steve.

A big thank you to all at Mayfair Kitchens who recently undertook significant building work for us which involved remodelling three rooms to create a fantastic kitchen/dining/living area.

John came up with a draft plan and together we discussed and modified it until we were happy with the final design. An installation date was agreed and the work began on schedule.

Steve and his team did a brilliant job of stripping out the rooms and made sure that the areas being worked on were left clean and tidy at the end of each day. He also managed the electricians, plasterers and plumbers who all arrived as scheduled, were hard working and did an excellent job. Nothing was too much trouble.

Again, Steve did a superb job of installing the new kitchen with his professionalism and attention to detail exceeding our expectations. It was a pleasure to have someone who not only took pride in his work but was also happy to carry out any additional requests we made.

As in life, there were a couple of glitches but we can honestly say, Mayfair’s customer service is as good as their quality workmanship. Without question, they replaced parts and resolved problems immediately. The work was completed not only to our satisfaction but ahead of schedule.

We are more than happy with the end result. The space John and the team have created is amazing and the new kitchen installed is everything we wanted. We would certainly use Mayfair Kitchens again and are more than happy to recommend them.

Mayfair fitted our kitchen in 2013. When we first approached them we thought that the price was too high, but changed our minds. We are so glad we did.
The whole team who worked on our kitchen was lovely, pleasant, competent and helpful. I would go so far as to say that they became friends. Ed, Steve, Andy, other Steve were all excellent.
The final result, which involved removing walls, moving the doors and boiler, putting in an RSJ etc was logical and completely to our satisfaction.
So happy were we that we got them to put in an ensuite.
And then a new bathroom/toilet/shower.
However…
10 years down the line. We lost the plug for the kitchen sink. John Shaw replaced it without charge.
There was a leak from the shower room. John sent Ed to fix it – without charge.
I have read the negative reviews on this site and do not understand how they can be referring to the same company.
We would recommend Mayfair without hesitation. What service!

Firstly I want to say we really did our homework and visited many different kitchen and interior showrooms for inspiration and ideas. What was so refreshing was the laid back and no hassle approach of allowing us to view displays and samples and ask ay questions we had.
We had numerous quotations from different Companies and in the end we chose Mayfair. We could not be more happy. Yes ther are cheaper alternatives out there but they will undoubtedly come with drawn backs. Nothing is ever to much trouble for the team even after I had tweaked and tweaked our design and borrowed endless samples or colours and worktops. We knew we were in safe hands and always felt like that Mayfair would not let us make a mistake on choices with out telling us what we had to do.
The installation was pretty seamless and Mayfair even went above and beyond to get there electrical to adjust some electrics our builder had originally put in before done design changes with out charge. I even had a few ammendments to my worktops and drainer area last minute which Ben accommodated with out any issue at all, he even provided me with a free quart draining board matching my tops. There after sales serive has been amazing to for a small company also which I value very highly. I can not recommend Mayfair highly enough to anyone looking for a new kitchen or even just after some advice. We all love our new kitchen.

A special mention to the team who did a great job with the design and installation of the kitchen and appliances. Mayfair provide a complete one stop shop. All aspects of the project were completed in a timely and professional manner.
John provided a variety of excellent plans to maximize the use of available space - space that had not crossed our minds.
Work started on time and manpower involved was considerable to ensure work was was completed quickly and to reduce disruption. It should not be underestimated the complexity of a renovation with the variety of different tradesman required - Fitters, plumbers, builders, electricians, plasterers, quartz suppliers etc.... John and his team coordinate this effortlessly to ensure work continues at pace. Trying to co-ordinate yourself separate contractors would be neigh on impossible and would lead to inevitable delay and frustration.
All tradesman employed/contracted are courteous, tidy and professional however special thanks to Ed who was site manager for the whole job. His attention to detail to ensure a high quality finish was exemplary. We are thrilled with the completed kitchen which exceeded our expectations.

This is the second kitchen we have had from the Mayfair team. They initially installed our first kitchen in another property over 30 years ago. We were very apprehensive before the work began regarding disruption, etc however the project went so smoothly we had no need for any concerns. Anything that needed correction or adjustment was dealt with immediately.

We have just had a Kitchen fitted by Mayfair. These guys are the best. we were extremely pleased with all aspects of their work and to confirm that that we have just recommended them to our daughter who has placed an order for a new kitchen. But a review should be honest so I will comment on the "bad" bit first: They installed extract ducting whose section was too small for the hob extractor hood air flow and it made excessive noise.
It could have been the start of a drawn out war of contrition but wasn't because John and his guys not only admitted the mistake but rectified it 100% perfectly. This was certainly costly for them and is something that with many companies would have caused strife ... so thanks guys.
The good bits are nearly too numerous to mention but I will try:
- Excellent insight and support from John at the design stage
- Friendly, professional, innovative installation team. Especially Steve and Pete. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks in particular for the home invented and custom made light shields. You should patent that idea!
-Excellent choice and management of sub-contractors, especially Grantech.
And finally because of all that - a highly efficient but beautiful kitchen and complete confidence that if anything goes wrong with it the support will be there.

We were recommended to use Mayfair Kitchen Studio by a friend who had used their services 3years earlier and who was delighted with their kitchen and after sales service. I am so pleased we did!
John listened to our requirements, we were fully involved in the design process and we were able to meet several times to develop the ideas, we had a long dark galley kitchen which was in desperate need of updating.
I really must pass on our thanks to everyone involved in the process, but especially to Steve who fitted the kitchen. Not only has he done a fantastic job, but he was a pleasure to work with.
The transformation still amazes us, and I can honestly say it has changed the way with live in the house. It’s given us more space, more light, and a seating area we never thought we could fit in. Most importantly it’s an absolutely brilliant place to cook!! No longer am I running down one end for some milk and the other end to the coffee. It just works beautifully, everything to hand, and everything in a place where it should be.

We have had our Mayfair kitchen installed 2 years ago and as thrilled with it now as we were then.
We have an older house and a great deal of structural work was required which Mayfair carried out in a well planned way prior to installation. There was no break in the building work, which builders are famous for, always someone on site. John worked closely with us to design the kitchen, giving invaluable advice resulting, ultimately, in the Kitchen of our dreams.
Their after-care has been excellent, a couple of minor electrical faults being fixed within days of being reported. A first rate service!
